Proper nutrition is a great aid in weight correction!
Every girl at least once in her life thought about the fact that she needs to lose a couple of extra pounds, which she, for example, gained after the holidays. So begins the search for a way to do it. And to help us come to diets.
Express diets, of which everyone knows firsthand, promise a huge result in a small amount of time. The essence of such diets is strictly limit portions and products consumed by man. As a consequence, the human body is constantly under stress and even if he loses a few pounds, then after leaving the diet they could come back again and even in excess. The body does not benefit from this, but the harm is enormous. That’s why, if you want to lose weight, to get in shape, a person should think about eating right.
We have all heard phrases like: “to lose weight, you need to tape your mouth shut”, “to lose weight, you need to eat two buckets less”, “to lose weight, eat from baby dishes” and many others. Yes, and it’s true. One of the principles of good nutrition is to eat often, but in small portions.
So how do you come to this when you’re used to eating a lot? Very simple.
Start by eating smaller portions. The portion will be much smaller than your usual, and visually it will be huge on a small platter. Self-deception, but it works. Also, chew your food thoroughly and take your time eating. The slower you eat, the faster your body will be full.
Eat protein at every main meal. This is the building material of your body and it is very necessary. Don’t be afraid of carbohydrates – they are our body’s source of energy. But remember, we need complex carbohydrates, and these are cereals or legumes. And do not forget about fats: vegetable fats (they are contained in nuts and oils) and animal fats (meat, fish).
Ideally, you should calculate the right amount of fats, proteins and carbohydrates for you. But if for some reason you can’t do this, there is another, simpler solution for you. Let’s count portions using our hands. A piece of meat or fish, as well as lean cottage cheese should be about the size of your palm. Vegetables – two fists. Cereals or pulses should be about the size of your fist. Fruit should be about the size of your fist.
Now let’s talk about snacks. For a proper diet, confectionery and bakery products are strictly forbidden. Choose fruits, dried fruits or nuts, but do not abuse their quantity. Try to reduce the fat content of snacks, and increase the amount of complex carbohydrates and protein (for example, a great and hearty snack is whole-grain bread with cottage cheese). A teaspoon of honey a day is also acceptable. All this is both tasty and useful.
