Our Mission
We strive to ensure that as many people as possible find their way to a healthy format of nutrition that is right for them. Our global mission is to tell the world what we know for ourselves, to dismantle in detail the myths that sometimes prevent us from truly caring for our health and finding marketing gimmicks. We are trying to learn how to understand our bodies and find the best for them!
Why would you be interested?
This project is educational, but we try to write about serious topics in simple language, so we sometimes ask the experts the most basic questions to better understand the topics that interest our readers. The information you’ll find in our resource will help you, over time, to make the transition to good nutrition for yourself. It will help you build not only your diet, but also help you organize your meals for the whole family. That’s why we pay a lot of attention to publishing diets, parsing products and expertise.
The concept of good nutrition
Many people think that proper nutrition (GN) is some newfangled diet. But this is a misconception. A diet is primarily about restrictions and inhibitions, while GN is about balance and measure. But even here it is important to remember that a dietician or your personal doctor can help you build a competent and correct diet for each person, taking into account your personal peculiarities.
A simple system of eating that supports a person’s vitality, growth and health is what GN is all about. If you want to stick to proper nutrition, just learn how to consume enough protein, fats and carbohydrates for your body.
An important part of proper and healthy nutrition is to pay attention to the region where each person lives. The diet of people living in warm and cold places will be different, at least because the constant availability of fruits and vegetables in these places is different.
There are three components of our body (three nutrients): proteins, fats and carbohydrates (PFC). Their balanced consumption is the main principle of GN.
There are several options for the ratio of PFC:
- weight loss;
- weight maintenance;
- gaining weight.
Before making a menu, it is necessary to understand which foods are dominated by different nutrients.
Protein can be found in lean meat and fish, poultry, egg whites, seafood, beans.
Carbohydrates are cereals (buckwheat, long-cooked oatmeal, uncooked rice), whole-grain flour products (pasta, bread), fresh fruits and vegetables.
Fats — oil, nuts, egg yolks, cheese and dairy products, oily fish (trout, mackerel, herring, etc.), avocados.
But these examples are just the tip of the iceberg. In order to make a healthy and most importantly suitable for you diet, you need a variety of foods. We are of the opinion that in order to stay healthy, a person needs to get nutrients from different sources.
What do you get if you start eating right now?
Healthy food is not synonymous with «boring» or «monotonous,» on the contrary: to stay healthy, the diet must be varied. So it’s no surprise that a balanced diet has many pluses. Chief among them is health. Of course, you should not expect to become invulnerable to infections and viruses, to stop hurting your back, or to miraculously heal sprained ligaments. But good nutrition strengthens the immune system, so you’ll be less prone to various infectious diseases. Your general well-being will improve, and a balanced diet can prevent the development of chronic diseases, including endocrine system and gastrointestinal tract.
Another benefit of a healthy diet is a slim figure. Of course, the weight will not go away overnight: if there are excess pounds, it will be normalized gradually, but a long-term effect is guaranteed. Unlike extreme diets that help you lose weight for a short time, a proper diet will keep you slim figure for many years.
In addition to the benefits listed above, a balanced diet has other benefits:
Your hair, skin, nails will become healthier, you will manage to prolong your youth.
You will become less irritable, you will feel more confident.
A balanced diet gives strength, energy, enthusiasm, which many city dwellers lack.
The likelihood of getting cancer, diabetes, or any other serious diagnosis will decrease.
